Option 3: Request deletion by email / contact form

If you cannot access your account, request deletion through our Contact form. Please include:

  • The email address used for your My Smart Bible account
  • A clear request to delete your account and associated data
  • Whether you used the app, the website, or both

We aim to process email or contact-form deletion requests within 30 days.

Data that is deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove or irreversibly de-identify account-linked data associated with My Smart Bible, including where applicable:

  • Account profile details (name, email, preferences)
  • Authentication account record
  • Bible study notes, highlights, tags, and favorites
  • Prayer journal entries
  • Reading progress, reading sessions, and related study history
  • Support purchase records tied to your user account in our systems
  • Other personal content stored under your user ID

Data that may be kept

  • Store subscriptions: If you have an active monthly support subscription, cancel it in the store that billed you. On iPhone or iPad: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. On Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Deleting your My Smart Bible account does not cancel a store subscription by itself.
  • Legal and security records: Limited records may be retained where required by law, to prevent fraud or abuse, or to resolve disputes, for as long as reasonably necessary.
  • Aggregated analytics: Non-identifying aggregated statistics may be kept after personal identifiers are removed.
  • Backups: Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for a limited retention period (typically up to 90 days) before those backups expire.

Important notes

  • Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
  • After deletion you will need to create a new account if you want to use My Smart Bible again.
  • For more detail, see our Privacy Policy.
