Common questions
What does the Bible mean by hope?
Biblical hope is confident expectation based on God's promises, not wishful thinking. Hebrews 6:19 calls it an anchor for the soul, and Romans 15:13 calls God the God of hope.
Is Jeremiah 29:11 a promise for me?
Jeremiah wrote it to Israelites exiled in Babylon, telling them God had plans for their welfare and a future. It shows God's care for his people and gives hope, though it was first addressed to that group and does not promise an easy path. Read verses 10 to 14 for the full context.
