Common questions
Does the Bible promise physical healing?
The Bible shows God healing people and invites you to pray for the sick. James 5:14-15 tells the sick to call for the elders to pray over them. It does not promise healing in every case: Paul's own thorn in the flesh stayed (2 Corinthians 12:7-9).
Which Bible verse can I pray for someone who is sick?
Jeremiah 17:14 is a short, direct prayer asking God to heal and save. Psalm 147:3 and 3 John 1:2 also work well when you pray for a person's health and wellbeing.
